Maria Rodriguez

Digital Strategist

Maria Rodriguez, a proud Colombian native and resident of Pembroke Pines for over two decades, is an experienced communications strategist. She currently serves as a Pembroke Pines City Commissioner, making history as the first Hispanic woman and the youngest person elected to this position.

Prior to her role at MDW, Maria worked in communications for local elected officials in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, where she specialized in digital communications and constituent services. She also contributed to several campaigns for young candidates in Broward County, developing digital communications, content strategies, and paid ad campaigns.

Maria attended the American University of Paris, where she earned a degree in International and Comparative Politics with a minor in International Law.
