Guerds Jean

Digital Strategist

Guerds Jean is a policy consultant with a degree in Peace and Social Justice Studies as well as Spanish Studies from Berea College.

Guerds has a passion for serving disadvantaged communities with their education policies, business development, immigration reform, and criminal justice needs. She has developed her public policy, public speaking, and communication skills through meetings at The White House with the Vice President Kamala Harris and various other political leaders. She has improved her translation, communication, and project management skills through roles as a public policy fellow, business paralegal, policy and advocacy summer fellow, and Spanish teacher. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Guerds is fluent in Spanish, Haitian-Creole, and English, and is interested in peacemaking, conflict resolution, and mediation.

When Guerds is not thinking of ways to make an impact in her community, she is the co-founder of JEANie Couture, an online clothing store which derived from the YouTube channel The Jean Twins, which she shares with her twin sister. She also enjoys making diaper cakes, reading historical romance fiction, spending time with her nieces and nephews and her cat Raja, traveling, and being a foodie.
